ROSE HILL, Va. — Mary Olive (Hesler) Newton, 75, Rose Hill, Va., died Tuesday, March 9, 1999. Born March 13, 1923, she was the daughter of Fred and Leola Coats Hesler in Fountain County. She married Charles Newton, who preceded her in death. Survivors include: sons, Robert Newton, Athens, Tenn., James Newton, Laredo, Texas; step-daughters, Georgia Long and Wilma Walker, both of Rose Hill; and brothers, George Hesler, Hillsboro, Elmer Hesler, Franklin. She was also preceded in death by brother, Berle Hesler. Funeral services and burial was in Rose Hill on Friday. Arrangements were by Arney-Mullins Funeral Home. – jlr
